Drawing and communicating to create entertainment environments
July 11, 2018
Creating immersive, engaging, entertaining environments requires multiple skill sets, talents, and disciplines. To make it all come together into a holistic and cohesive guest experience requires teamwork. At first the design process is individual and internal. After enough study, group critiques take place allowing other viewpoints to emerge and fertilize the ideas with different seeds. The fastest way to take all of the seeds and help them to blossom is through a hand drawn plan.
Our team is gathered around group work table to see what one of our designers has come up with. Explanation, discussion, new ideas, and respectful criticism occur in the spirit of making the best possible design. Creativity takes a village and the villagers have to communicate clearly, sell their ideas, and work hard to create entertainment. And often that means drawing, refining, and drawing again. It's old fashioned, but it works well and is fast!
